first_imgLast night marked the second night of The String Cheese Incident’s three-night stand at the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. The band’s March Madness tour has been leading up to this run, three nights of glorious Sin City Incidents. With night one in the books, Cheese brought their best to the stage for a great Saturday night performance.Night two saw the band reviving a number of classic funk covers, getting down on some of the jams they debuted at last year’s Hulaween “Ghoul Train” set. The show opened with newer song “Sweet Spot,” and the set featured a fun cover of Old And In The Way’s “Midnight Moonlight.” The band ended the set with “Turn This Around,” introducing a version of James Brown’s “Cold Sweat” much to the fan’s delight. The second set opened up with “Desert Dawn,” gearing things up for some great tunes ahead. The set also featured Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish,” a classic cover from the band’s repertoire. Set two closed out with a wicked “Miss Brown’s Teahouse,” which featured KC and the Sunshine Band’s “I’m Your Boogie Man” in the middle. Wow!With an encore of “Shaking the Tree,” SCI sent their fans on their merry way. With one more Sunday night to go, it’s all love from String Cheese in Las Vegas!
