High School volleyball teams from throughout the Kootenays got a taste of competitive action at the Kootenay Volleyball Classic Saturday at Castlegar Selkirk College Gymnasium.Of course players got a late start to the season due to the B.C. Teachers Federation strike/lockout that allowed school to start Monday (September 22).The result for Kootenay Volleyball Classic was some teams were still not ready for the season to commence and canceled out at the last minute.For the five remaining in the tournament, the host Mount Sentinel Wildcats came out the winner in the five team tournament.
