Remember the sunny, warm weather we had earlier this week? Well, that was then. And this is now: Expect mostly clouds and a slight chance of showers tonight. Beginning tonight and continuing through Saturday, increasing clouds will bring an increasing chance of rain. By early Saturday, the probability of rain will go up to 40 percent, then increase to 50percent after sundown. We could get as much as a half-inch, the National Weather Service said. Skies will be mostly cloudy today, with highs in the middle 60s and increasing clouds tonight, when temperatures will dip into the upper 40s. “We could get some passing showers” tonight, “but it won’t be much,” said Jaimie Meier, a meteorologist for the weather service in Oxnard. The bands of clouds sweeping in from the south won’t bring much snow, either. It’ll be “mostly a dusting” in the local mountains, Meier said. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong. Please try again.subscribeCongratulations!
