first_imgImagine playing a game of Touch Football for 30 hours straight! Well that’s what a committed bunch of players from Mackay Touch Association did over the weekend, and just so happened to break a Guinness World Record in the process.Starting at 7.00am on Saturday morning, the two teams battled it out all day and throughout the night, and until 1.00pm on Sunday to claim the record, which was previously at 27 hours. And it was all for a good cause, the weekend was also a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia.Organiser Katie Geiger said that the weekend was a huge success and was very rewarding to be a part of. “We set ourselves this massive challenge way back in February and it’s finally happened! To say I’m proud is such an understatement,’ Geiger said. And Geiger says that while everyone involved enjoyed themselves, that it might be the last time they attempt a game like this! Touch Football Australia would like to congratulate Mackay Touch Association on their achievement. Related LinksGuinness World Recordlast_img
